His panic-stricken voice immediately sent Ryder bolting from bed and out of their room. Color left his chiseled face as the same terror that filled Nathan's chest shot up beneath his bloodshot green eyes.

"Rosie!" Ryder shouted, and seeing the guards rush over towards him, the man became even more erratic. "Where's my daughter?! Where is she?!"

"Signorina Rosaline came out and went to her room about half an hour ago," the guard answered as he led the way towards the little girl's room.

Ryder furrowed his brows as if unable to believe what he had just heard. However, as soon as he opened the door to Rosie's room, it turned out that the guard didn't lie about it.

Nathan muffled his mouth as he let out a loud gasp, his hand subconsciously moving to clutch his chest as he strode towards the tiny figure curling up on the cold play mat.

He could hear his pounding heartbeat exploding in his ears as his trembling hand reached out to touch her.
