The beasts bared its sharp teeth.

Shao Mei feared for her friends' lives and so did the others.

They held their breaths as Luo Yating leaped from the side of the beast. The beast was momentarily distracted by Tang Fu's attacks on the other side.

But once it noticed the incoming attack, it swiped Luo Yating with its iron tail, sending her flying towards a tree.

Blood spurt, staining her lips and her robe.

"Ugh!" She was winded. She felt pain mainly from her back and chest. For a few moments, she forgot how it was to breathe.

"Yating!!!" Shao Mei screamed in horror.

She wanted to help Luo Yating but Song Jia stopped her.

"Why? She's going to get badly hurt!" Her face was wild with worry.

Song Jia nodded. "Yes, but only when we push ourselves to our limit do we find our real strength. Trust her."

She shivered with her words.
