章 87: Abyss

Zia couldn't tell where his voice was coming from as she looked around frantically trying to locate the sound.

"Wh, where are you? What is happening?" She spoke as her breathing increased. Her eyes felt strained as she tried to adjust them to the darkness surrounding her.

Hearing his voice caused such mixed feelings within her. All the feelings and yearning she had forced herself to suppress, surfaced unexpectedly. She held back tears as she focused on finding him while taking slow, careful steps.

She stopped moving forward, realizing that she couldn't move any further without knowing what was ahead of her or where the voice came from. She could be in danger. What if it wasn't him. What if someone else was trying to hurt her?

How could that be? She fell asleep in Arlon's tub, or at least she thought she did. But, she wasn't tired enough to fall asleep. How did she end up here?
