They decided to try and cross the bridge at Rush to avoid the overcrowding of State Street. A man and his sons were working zealously to keep the bridge from destruction. Like all heroes, these were special people. They could have run with the others instead of risking their own lives to save so many. The bridge would eventually fall to the flames but not before hundreds fled safely across. Katya yelled toward the family and blew them a kiss as she and Cyrus started helping people onto and across the bridge.
