Katya came up from behind. "Care for a Jolt Cola?"

"Ah, sure," he answered. "Kat, this is really something. I have to admit, I've been to a few theme parties before, but never in the actual time."

"I wanted to do something special for Dawn," Katya answered. "See that guy over there? He's actually from the eighties," she said. "His name is Larry, and he has no idea that I had to bring him to the present with me so he could walk through the magic door. Come here-check this out." Katya grabbed Cyrus' hand and led him to the window. "When you look outside from here, you're looking at my subdivision in 1983. Isn't that gnarly?"

"So, what would happen if I climbed out the window?" he asked. "Would I be in the past?"

"Nope, it doesn't work that way," Katya answered. "You would climb right back into your present, just like if you walked back through the door."

"So how did you get this authentic stuff?" he asked as he looked at his can of Jolt.
