Noir was frowning deeply when Solis finally disconnected the call.
"Don't go," Noir said immediately after Solis put away the phone. "No matter what they say to threaten you or persuade you, please don't go."
Solis smiled at Noir and caressed his lovely face with gentle fingers. "Don't worry, my little darling," he said. "I have absolutely no intention of going anywhere – especially when the whole thing reeks of a trap."
Noir nodded. "It does. Why would the Chief of the Special Forces be so desperate to get you out of our house, otherwise? He is probably being threatened, too – or he may be a part of the group that seeks to harm you," he murmured. Then he grabbed Solis's arm and stuck to him like a limpet. "You have to promise me, Solis – you must promise me! You won't go anywhere near them no matter what!"
