"Noir?! Noir, speak to me, Noir! Stay with me!!" Solis's panicked voice rang out.
"Don't cry, my love," Noir said hoarsely, raising a weak hand and caressing Solis's face. "You must be safe and well…"
Solis hadn't even realised that he was crying until his tears fell on Noir.
"…I'm glad that you are safe…" Noir whispered in a very, very dim voice – like a candle fluttering in the wind, the flame about to go off any moment.
Solis let out an anguished cry. "I need you to be safe, Noir!" His voice was a desperate plea that could tear even the hardest of hearts into shreds. "Noir, Noir…don't leave me…" he begged in small, fragile voice.
Noir tried to smile for his beloved Solis, but coughed up blood instead.
"Sorry," he murmured, his chocolate brown eyes rapidly losing their usual bright sparkle.
Solis clung to Noir desperately.
Anthem and Melody spoke up in Solis's mind.
