Camilla sat up, startled by Alex's tone.

"What happened?" she asked shyly.

Alex was furious. He knew that meeting with Claire couldn't work. He should have suspected she was up to something.

"That bitch Claire set me up!" Alex said and dropped the phone on the bed as he got up. He paced back and forth. Camilla glanced at the device's screen.

'Claire Wilson and Alex Strauss, together again?

The two were spotted at a famous Los Angeles jewelry store, choosing rings. Could this be proof that the two would be together again?'

And, underneath, a picture of Claire, clinging to Alex's arm, who was facing away from the camera. Claire was smiling, happy.

Camilla gritted her teeth.

"Alex, how did this happen?" she asked seriously.
