章 6: Chapter Five
I walked behind Asmodeus he kept a steady pace ahead of me. We came to a stop in front of this tall wooden door.
Asmodeus spoke, "this is where we do all our combat fighting. Who knows what is to come?"
I looked around and watched as Asmodeus pushed open the doors. You could the clunking of swords being hit against each other. You can hear the screams and laughter of everyone around us.
Suddenly it got quiet as we walked through the walkway. I can feel their eyes on me. I tried to focus on walking. Asmodeus stayed close to my side. I'm uneasy being around them.
"Asmodeus, I don't like this." I whispered softly trying not to trip over.
"Maddison, I'll protect you." Asmodeus whispered back.
We continued to walk down the hall and Asmodeus came to stop. "This is where we train, because we don't know what we are against." Asmodeus spoke harshly.
I noticed someone walk up to us. "Who is she? Is she our new play toy?" The demon chuckled.
Asmodeus turned around quick and placed a hand against the demon's throat. "You dare speak ill of Maddison?" Asmodeus voice carried across the room. Everyone went silent.
"No, no." The demons spoke struggled against the grasp Asmodeus had against him.
"Asmodeus! Stop!" My voice echoed all eyes were on me now. Asmodeus let go of the demon's throat and walked over towards me and kneeled.
Asmodeus looked up at me, I can see the fear in his eyes. Part of me thought it felt great that I can have a prince kneel before me, but again it felt so wrong.
Asmodeus stood up and faced me, I felt a little bit startled because he stood a head taller than me, and man if I can think I can take him on I guess I had another coming for me. I chuckled at myself.
"Maddison Grace Kugler is to be your queen!" Asmodeus loud and clear and before we knew we had demon's coming at me. You can hear them hissing "no, no, we are going to end her. She will never become queen of us. She is a human she cannot be a queen."
Asmodeus chuckled and went after the demon that was beside me. He grabbed the demon by the throat and tore his heart out. Asmodeus yelled at me "get the hell out of here! Now! Go back to your room and stay there. I will handle this."
At the given time I didn't know what came over me, but I knew the second that I closed my eyes everything was going to be alright. I heard in the background the hissing from the demons.
I felt my body warm up and all I knew that is I am to protect Asmodeus like he has protected me since arriving here. I chanted a few versus that I didn't even know before. I threw my arms in front of myself and all I can hear are the demons who were attacking drop to the ground.
At first, I felt his hands touch me, I moved slightly but not much. I didn't know what to say or do, I just stayed on my knees.
Asmodeus spoke first, "my darling, you are quite a surprise there. Did you know that you had powers?"
I shook my head no. He placed his hand behind me and lifted me up onto my feet and guide me out of the combat room. We walked in silence till we reached my room.
Asmodeus spoke first, "that was pretty intense back there. I think you surprised everyone."
I look down and walked into my room. "Good night I'll see you in the morning." I shut the door quickly and hurried off into the bathroom.
I heard Asmodeus sigh and walk off. I didn't know what happened, but all I know is I'm scared out of my freaking mind. I never knew that I challenge the powers. Like how? I'm confused and lost. How am I supposed to learn powers?
