章 105: A Troubled Mind

His master had given to him a new order. A strange, different order. One completely outside his typical line of orders. One that didn't quite fit into his line of works. One he wished he could turn down and oppose the second the words spilt from his master's lips.

"From now on, I want you to watch over her from the shadows. Ensure that no harm comes her way" his master had said firmly. He had flinched by the suddenness of the request as he watched his master in silence.

"Do you understand my words?" His master asked, not looking up at him yet Michi could somehow feel his cold gaze daring him to oppose him.

"...Yes, my lord. I will do as you command" was all Michi could say as he didn't dare to say anything that could draw his master's anger towards him, yet a million and one questions ran through his mind.
