The next day came in a hurry and so did the merchant's lawyer, who arrived at exactly twelve P.M on the dot as soon as it struck noon. Breakfast had been slow and stifling as the absence of the merchant was getting more obvious by the day.
The entire family, except for Marie's son who was considered too young, was seated at the drawing-room once again, each occupying one of the side accent chairs, flanking a long couch positioned in front of the window as a tense quietness rolled in. The lawyer eased on his seat, taking out a white envelope from his office bag, breaking the seal open as he pulled out the contents to read.
"I will now begin the reading of Mr Yuichiro's final will and testament" he said, starting with the usual basics in the will until he got to the most critical part- disposition of property.
Hello, lovelies!
New chapter up. I hope you all enjoy it! I can't believe I have written up to 40 chapters as I was once doubting if I'd be able to even get to chapter 20 but here we are.
Also, I will be taking a short hiatus for a while but I will be back on December 1st. I need to take this break so that I can properly focus and create better chapters for you because I dont want to rush it. I promise to return with lots of chapters filled with emotions and...a growing romance perhaps? =) xoxo
