 Adrian felt so emotional on hearing Katherine's cry. He wanted to hug her and shout that whatever he was doing was for their future. He wanted to do anything, be everything, to make her happy. He wanted to go back in time and not blink, not say anything that would change anything so that he could hold her and never let her go. Instead, he remained frozen, his heart pounding against his chest, his vision blurring with tears. He felt so lost and alone, heartbroken and terrified that he would never feel this way again, and the worst part was knowing that she would never know just how much he loved her and desired her and needed her. He felt like such a failure.
