章 44: "After a Long Time"
Ale Piola standing at the side lines looking at his players practicing. Today he was standing very silently not instructing his players as usually he does on normal days but there was something running inside his head which was making him feel very much concerned about today's match.
"Hola ! Senor Piola." Suddenly someone said behind his back which immediately draws his attention. He turns his to look out who it and the moment when he turned behind, he can't believe in his own eyes when he saw Marco Esposito standing right behind him because he never expected that Marco Esposito will come back from the United States and especially today, nobody had informed him about his arrival.
Ale Piola and Marco both share a very special bond together, during the early days of his career as coach Marco Esposito helped him a lot and shown his support since the beginning when he was appointed as an asistant coach in the club. Ale Piola was very much delighted by his presence and this was same with Marco Esposito they move forward and give a warm hug to each other.
"So you are the head coach now huh ?" Marco asked and smirked a bit.
"Yes... Yes you are right, I am the new coach of the team." Ale answered with a gentle smile on his face.
"So how the things are going since you've become the head coach ?" Marco asked.
"Well everthing is great, everthing is working very well for me." Ale answered.
"So there are no issues that you have faced until now especially with the players." Marco asked.
"No... No.. No not at all. The players respect me a lot, they all are very obedient they do exactly what I tell them to do and most importantly they trust me and I trust them that's what I want. I hope everyone do well today." Ale answered.
After hearing from Ale that he got no issues with any of the player and is happy with them made Marco feel more than just happy. Marco was delighted by the fact that the players are very obedient and listen to their coach.
"Well that's great to hear that you have no problem at all and remember not only the players but I also belive in you ." Marco said and frankly put his arm around Ale's shoulders.
"So how was your tour to United States ?" Ale asked but Marco didn't want to answer this question as nothing went according to his plans, he tried to change the topic.
"Um.... Well it was good but not so great." Marco said.
"Why, What happend ?" Ale asked
"Ahhh..... Nothing just leave this topic for now, we will talk this later but before that I want to ask you something first." Marco changed the topic of his tour to United States.
"Yeah sure !" Ale permits Marco to ask what wants to.
"Well before coming here I met the president's asistant and he told me that there a new player in the team ?" Marco asked.
"Yes he was right." Ale said.
"Ok whose that player." Marco asked his name.
"His name is Paulo Romani." Ale tells his name.
"Very nice name can see him, where is he." Marco asked Ale to show where is Paulo.
"Yeah sure, there he is." Ale points out his finger at Paulo. Marco saw Paulo juggling the ball at first sight Marco wasn't looking much impressed by him, for him Paulo Romani was like an another ordinary person.
"Is that Paulo Romani ? Marco asked with disappointment.
"Yeah he is Paulo Romani, why you don't like him ?" Ale said.
"No.... ummm I didn't mean that. The president told me that he is a very a special player." Marco said.
"Yeah the president was right he is a special player." Ale replied.
"Oh really ! but by his face I can't think so that he is a special player." Marco said.
"Oh... yeah ! he is sad a little bit." Ale replied.
"Why ? Why he is sad what happend to him ?" Marco asked the reason about his sadness.
"Actually few moments ago I had given him challenge to make five successful interceptions in a rondos session but unfortunately he failed in it and it became worse when accidentally kicked in the head of Fabio." Ale interpreting about the incident that happened a while ago.
"Kicked in the head of Fabio ? Is Fabio alright, did he has any injury ?" Marco asked curiously to Ale as he is having a concern about Fabio.
"Yeah... Yeah don't worry my friend he is absolutely fine, look there ! now he is doing the passing session with Paulo." Ale shows Marco that Fabio is fine but he was very disconsolate by that.
"Seriously ! That's pathetic he cannot even do the simple rondos thing and the president thinks that he going to be the one who is going to bring back this club to the glory days." Marco taunts Paulo and the thoughts of president about Paulo.
"No, No Marco you are thinking wrong it was just an accident he has no fault in it." Ale defends Paulo.
"Ale stop defending him please, you are a head coach now and you know there is a lot of difference between a college or a street football and a professional football this guy has never played a professional football match." Marco said.
"Marco you are being too critical towards him." Ale calming down Marco.
"I am the sporting director of this club and being critical is the part of my job not just towards him but towards every player." Marco said and this time Ale cannot argue to him because he was right.
"Ale we cannot..... We cannot just make him play because he suppose to impress other in training sessions and especially today in such a crucial match that will decide our next season." Marco explains Ale that why he highly doubts on Paulo and he was speaking real facts from which Ale can't deny.
"You right but I still believe that he can do it." Ale expressed his expectations about Paulo.
"Ok if that's the case, is he going to start in the game ?" Marco questioned Ale but he didn't say a word and remained silent on it because he decided not start in Paulo in today's match.
"I knew it, your silence says it all and it was good decision made even after I also won't give him a start." Marco said.
"Just remember bring this guy only in the last fifteen minutes of the match because I don't want our team suffer because of one guy, is that clear to you Ale ?" Marco commands Ale and Ale simply agreed and nodded his head.
"Good ! best of luck for the match then I'll see you after the game, hope we get better results." Marco wished Ale and then went back to the tunnel, going back to the president to confront him about his thoughts on Paulo's.
