SOMEONE suddenly cleared his throat. It was Xylon who’s now looking at us steadfastly. I bit my lip in extreme embarrassment. I could hardly look at Fiore anymore. I could feel all eyes were on me. Mocking me. Telling me, I don't belong here.

"If you’ll allow me, Fiore..." We both looked in Xylon’s direction —who was exchanging glances at me and Fiore— while his hand was still holding Ms Aicheng's elbow like a real gentleman. "Ms Ai, meet Ms Miranda Forbes. My ex."

A black butterfly landed on my head. I was stained with black pixie dust that my face turned pale.

"Oh?" The girl covered her mouth like she couldn't comprehend what she just heard. Neither do I! "Well, it's nice meeting you. O-Of course you are welcome here," she said, forcing herself to say it.

I didn’t see Fiore’s initial reaction. All I know is that he’s smiling extremely wide and relieved. ‘Does it mean he's consenting that kind of lie? That I’m Xylon's ex?’
