That night Max came home a little late. When he opened the front door, he was not greeted by the good smell of Trevor's cooking in the kitchen, as he was used to by now. He walked in feeling tired after a long day at work, he thought that he could have a good meal today to relieve a little beat of his tiredness and then take his beloved boyfriend in his arms for the night. He could tell Trevor wasn't home because he couldn't smell the sweet scent of his pheromones. Trevor's smell had the power of calming him down instantly, as soon as he was in his arms all his lost energy of the day will come back. So Max was a little disappointed not seeing his babe when arriving home.
It was already 11pm and Trevor hadn't texted him or called him, Max wondered where he could be. After he'd changed into some comfortable clothes, he sat down in their living room waiting for him. He wasn't the kind of person who liked to check on his partner's life, but he was worried. Not knowing where he had gone made him uneasy. He understood now how Trevor had felt when he'd disappeared and sighed deeply thinking that he would not put Trevor to that kind of anxious state again. He picked up his cell phone and texted Trevor.
"Hey babe! where are you...it's getting pretty late...when are you coming back?"
He waited for almost thirty minutes after that, but Trevor didn't answer. Max was getting more and more restless, so he decided to call him instead.
Over the loud sound of the music, Trevor didn't hear his phone which had been taken by Sammy vibrate. He was in a beautiful and glamorous pub, with music playing and people talking, it was hard to hear or sense the phone vibrate. Sammy and he had sat down in a corner of the room to avoid Trevor being touched by people.
They were enjoying the evening. Trevor was still a little worried. He hadn't told Max he was going to be late. When he wanted to text him, Sammy had taken the phone from him and asked him to enjoy the moment, telling him that Max wouldn't be mad.
Trevor didn't really think that Max was mad about him coming here. He knew Max wouldn't mind. Max wasn't the kind of person to stop his partner from having a life of his own. What bothered Trevor was the fact that Max would worry if he didn't come home plus he didn't at least text him to let him know he was okay.
Max on the other end worried even more. He didn't know where to start looking, cursing himself for not asking his security team to follow Trevor yet. He hadn't had time to talk to Trevor about it, and knowing his man, he knew he wouldn't like it if he got someone to follow him around all day without him knowing.
He'd already called his family to ask them if Trevor was there, but he wasn't.
He remembered Trevor being involved with Sammy, so he decided to call her, maybe she had information on where Trevor might have gone.
Sammy heard her phone ring. When she saw the caller, she smiled in satisfaction and answered it.
"Hey bro, what's up?"
"I'm good ... Say, have you seen Trevor after school? " Max heard loud music on the phone, he frowned instantly, thinking that his cousin really did go out too often. He understood that she liked to party, but he didn't like that she was always out at night. But knowing she had a security team he was a little relieved, but still, he wasn't happy about it.
"Trevor? Oh, we're together..." she blurted out as if it wasn't important news. Trevor, sitting at his side, tilted his head and asked if it was Max. Sammy just nodded imperceptibly.
" Damn Sam, why did you bring him to your weird night activity? This could be dangerous!!! Where are you? I'll come and get him!!!" Yelled Max before ending the conversation. He stroked his hair in frustration before walking out hastily.
Sammy was a little taken aback, she knew Max certainly wouldn't approve of her bringing Trevor along as he didn't really like her club life, but she hadn't expected him to be so angry. What did she do? She thought, looking a little worried for a moment before turning back to her alcohol.
Trevor on the other hand was getting impatient, he didn't like the situation, he wanted to talk to Max.
"Can you give me my phone back now, pretty lady?" He pleaded to Sammy.
"Here you go... But you don't have to worry about Max, he's coming for you anyway" Sammy shrugged.
Trevor nodded just slightly, noticing his friend's change in mood "Why are you so absent-minded all of a sudden?" asked Trevor, sensing it had something to do with what Max had told her.
"Nothing ... It's just that Max is scolding me for bringing you out ... I mean, I just wanted you to have a little fun with me. What's so wrong with that? It's not like I'm asking you to do some weird shit with me," she pouted, thinking about her cousin's over-the-top reaction.
Trevor just chuckled and flashed his beautiful smile "Don't take it to heart, he's just worried that something might happen to me..."
"Just because you're going out for a drink? Oh please, it won't kill you!" said Sammy, rolling her eyes.
"Um, it's a bit more complicated than that," Trevor said, looking apologetically at Sammy.
Sammy was a little confused, as she couldn't see what was so wrong with Trevor being in a bar. Trevor thought that he should just explain clearly what the problem was so that Sammy could feel less guilty.
"The thing is... Sam, it's about my illness. I told you I had a weird disease, but I didn't tell you what it was. You see, when a man touches my skin, I react badly to it. It can be just a rash, but I can also faint or have an even worse reaction." Trevor looked at Sammy, who was too surprised to even say a word. Her mouth was open, processing what Trevor had just told her.
A minute later, she stood up abruptly and looked at Trevor with concern. "Get up, let's go back! why didn't you tell me? if anything happens to you, Max will kill me! let's go, let's go!"
Trevor just laughed, it was a new sight to see Sammy so scared, she was always aloof, not caring about what was going on around her and not letting people affect her. In their class, she only talked to a few people and had this cold aura about her. So it was amusing for Trevor to see her so stressed.
"Sam, calm down, it's not like I've never been in a pub before! I know my condition, so I take extra precautions when I'm where there are a lot of people ... don't worry. Please sit down, let's just wait for your brother, I'm sure he'll be here soon enough."
"Yes, he will surely come soon and kill me!!! I put his most important person in danger! He'll cut off my legs for sure! Come to think of it, that's why you asked me to sit here right?" Sammy wailed, sighing as heavily as she could.
Trevor looked at his friend with a smile, enjoying seeing her natural and relaxed side. They were having a drink and waiting for Max when a man approached their table.
