章 171: A love that hurts

  A long long time ago, the only descendant of the witch goddess accidentally ended up in the cave of hellfire. 

The little girl knew what fire could do to her but she was not aware of what was there in the cave. 

And by the time she realized it, it was too late as flames erupted around her. 

She lay there on the ground. Scared, desperate, unwilling… she did not want to die. 

But who will save her? 

Just when she was on the verge of losing faith, she saw a hand extended towards her. 

She was wondering if it was her illusion. 

''Take my hand if you want to live,'' a crisp voice sounded. 

And she slowly raised her head to look at the man who was squatting near her. 

Cold and indifferent blue eyes stared at her. 

She gulped when she looked at the scar running down his eyes. 

Hesitating a bit, she weakly placed her hand in his when the pain from the fire got intense.
