章 146: Regretful Instincts
That night Prudence headed to her room anticipating some reaction for her words from the Mafia king. She walked alone with her legs sore and heart beating from the anxiety of her own words.
The Mafia King had promised her a punishment for not being able to complete the laps and that was another burden of stress.
"Stop digging your own grave Prudence," She clicked her tongues talking to herself, which she rarely did. She was pacing around the room with the door locked but when has that ever stopped him. He definitely had a spare key to all the doors in the mansion. The best course of action was now to simply go to sleep.
Prudence lied down on the bed and closed her eyes.
It was barely ten minutes and Prudence opened her eyes to stare at the ceiling. Her anxiety was not helping her sleep at all. The anticipation only made her want him here more. At least her heart would calm down.
