Mal and lady Diana made their way home on the horse back.

I was really scared and worried about him. I remember Luther talking about Torren becoming mortal and so I was scared he'd get hurt like every other mortal or worse still killed.

"He doesn't know the dangers of becoming mortal Mal"

"I still trust he can protect himself. You worry too much my lady."

"You don't understand Mal. I caused it. I've done nothing but cause troubles to lord Torren. I can't live on if anything bad happens to him Mal, I can't."

"Nothing will happen to him, and even if something happens, You can live without him and you will my lady. Lord Torren may be powerless but to be honest with you, he's a man that can never be conquered. I don't know why or how but I know he's stronger than any magical being with or without his magical powers."

Hearing someone say that about Torren gave me more comfort and courage. "You speak like you've known him for a long time."
