He groaned feeling the pain resound all over his body. He'd gotten too careless and damn it had cost him. 

Clarissa jumped off the bed and dove for her sword which was close by but Kieran had already recovered and saw what she was about to do. 

He grabbed her and they both rolled off the bed. But this time, he seemed to have a harder time pinning her down. 

For a human, she was quite strong. But when he considered her hidden identity he wasn't all that surprised. 

When she tried to kick him in the balls again, he was careful to avoid it. " not again princess. I'm not that stupid. " He positioned her far away from him, making sure to avoid her teeth and legs. 

" would you stop wiggling for a second? " he asked frustrated. " if you're not careful you're going to show me all the sexy bits of you. 

That was enough to stop her wiggling. But not enough to stop her hardened glare. 

" thank you. " he said exasperated.
