After Ames and Libb discussed the outline for the joint research project, they agreed to formally meet with the rest of their clan's executives after the conference. They set a date and venue before concluding the meeting.

Libb and her group left first, and after a few minutes, Ames, Attor, and Eissen also returned to their assigned residence.

Ames and her group remained silent after parting ways with the Numen Clan. They did not talk to each other even when they stayed behind. After reaching their residence and Eissen confirmed that the inside remained safe, they finally loosened their guard slightly and talked.

"I don't know whether to be flattered or frustrated."

The first one to voice his thoughts was Attor. He looked at Ames and Eissen with a bitter smile before adding, "To think that they want to leave the book in our possession."
