"Stop it, Selene, I know you do not remember," the queen averted her gaze to see outside the carriage. The mountain grass swayed with the breeze, peace even in their times of adversity. I had to keep that as well. The queen turned back to me, "You did not like it when you heard you will be having a younger sibling. This mother has suffered enough. You never wanted your brother. Now look, he could not even stay out at the party for five minutes. His health fails him every second."

"I wasn't even aware of him till a few months back," I mentioned. Certain grief settled in my voice, "why would I not want him?"
