October 22nd
After a five-hour sleep, a gentle shake woke me.
It was 4:30 am.
The sun was yet to rise.
"Urghhh," I groaned. "It's too early..."
"I sorted everything last night. The flight is at 9:00 am from Seattle."
I sat up to see Leo standing over me already dressed.
"Wait, my passport is at my house. We won't get far without my pass-"
He waved a little navy book in his hand.
"As I said, I sorted everything last night," he said.
I smiled slightly before remembering I was still pissed off and frowned again.
At about 7:30 am, we arrived at the airport. People rushed every direction and the sounds of suitcase wheels sliding along the tiled floor only just overrode the screaming children, screeching tannoys and general hustle and bustle.
We stood in the middle of the terminal. Leo looked down at a piece of paper and then scanned all the desks as I just stood, my eyes struggling to stay open.
