I didn't know why she was here, but hearing her pissed me off.

"How dare you show your face! After destroying the whole empire, killing thousands, you think you can just stride in?! As if we'll let you!"

Catherine hissed at me as she pulled a gun out of the strap on her thigh. Before Grey or the driver could react, she shot me thrice.

The bullets hit my chest and shoulders. My body jolted as I tried to absorb the impact.
