章 41: Chapter 40: NATALIA

I felt him the moment he stepped out of the car. That feeling of being trapped had started to become overwhelming just seconds before he called out to me. I didn't turn around the first time, I couldn't. Fear like a heavy shroud covered me from head to toe and held me in its grip.

"Natalia." Even the way he says my name now makes me weak. I kept going, ignoring his call once more even as I knew how futile it was. I felt as if I were being torn in two. His closeness only seemed to make the need that had been steadily growing in me that much harder to ignore, but right on the heels of that need was palpable fear.

I felt the wind shift as he moved just before he landed on his feet in front of me. "Look at me." My womb clenched and my breasts felt heavy, achy. I refused to lift my head to obey his command and when he used his finger to lift my chin my skin burned where he touched.
