"Is it gone?" Charles was the first person to ask the question cautiously. He was still holding onto Nessa and didn't want to let go else she pulls a surprise stunt on them - it had been a battle holding her down in the first place.
"You can let go now," Ben told him, "It's done,"
Damon, who had been on the floor, got up immediately and went over to Nessa whose eyes were still shut.
"Nessa," He called her yet there was no response. Then he pressed his finger to her nose and didn't feel any breath which made color drain from his face.
"What is it?" Rita was the first to notice the grim expression on her son's face. She knew something wasn't right.
"She's not breathing,"
"What?!" Rita shouted, a trace of panic on her face.
However, Damon didn't say a word to her, he instead climbed into the bed and pulled Nessa close to him. Then he placed his hand over her chest and began to press on Nessa's heart as if performing resuscitation on her.
