Lilly was still unconscious. She was on an uncomfortable bed compared to the one she had back home.Someone was standing in the dark corner of the room, watching her. He left after some time not wanting her to wake up while he was still there.
"Good morning my Lord." The head servant of the house greeted him. "I was told that you sent for me." she bowed her head to show her respect to the lord who in turn gave her a nod.
"I called for you because I want you to personally keep an eye on her."He said with his eyes closed.
" You mean the girl you brought in yesterday?" The servant asked him.
"You already know who I am talking about Matilda, do not ask me irrelevant questions." Questioning him always annoyed him since he was a child. He preferred doing the questioning himself.
"Before you give her any food when she wakes up, bring her to me." The Lord said to Matilda then dismissed her.Matilda went to the room in which the girl was kept.
Lilly was finally waking up after being out all night. The sun was now picking from behind the hills showing that it was morning. She opened her eyes and blinked several times to allow her eyes to adjust to the light. She sat up on the bed and took in her surrounding to notice that she was in a small room with a tiny window which let the sunlight into the room.
She felt someone watch her so she turned her head towards the door. There was a woman standing by the door. She looked as old as Grace her personal maid but her face looked kind of tired, like she never gets enough rest or something.
"Where am I ? And who are you?" Lilly asked the lady standing by the door. The lady then moved forward towards the bed Lilly sat on.
"The Lord wishes to see you so you better get up and ready yourself..... You dont want to keep him waiting. He is not a patient man so get down from that bed and clean yourself up. Here are some clean clothes you can change into." Matilda said to Lilly as she placed the clean clothes on the side of the bed Lilly was on.
"You didn't answer my questions." Lilly said as she was annoyed that the lady chose to ignore her questions and instead tell her about this so called lord she was supposed to present herself to.
"Look if you want answers to your questions, just get yourself cleaned and present yourself to the lord and he will answer all your questions." Matilda knew fully well that the lord didn't like being questioned yet she told Lilly that he would answer her questions.
"alright, fine I will get cleaned. where is the bathroom?" Lilly was curious as the room only had one door that lead in and out of the room.
"Follow me." Matilda directed Lilly to one of the bathrooms in the servants' quarters. Lilly went into the bathroom and found a small bar of soap and a bucket of cold water. She wasn't expecting to take a bath from a small bucket and a cheap bar of soap as she was used to her big tab which would be filled with warm water and all kinds of nice expensive bath oils.
She took her time in the bath room as she got dirty last night from all the running and falling. She put on the clothes Matilda brought for her when she was done with her bath. She didn't bother brushing her hair as she just tied it in a ponny tail.
Matilda then lead her through so many different kinds of hall ways and corridors and finally stopped in front of double doors which where bigger than all the ones she had seen back in her fathers castle. The doors had golden handles and two dragons facing each other which were painted in black on each of the doors.
The doors were opened by two guards from the in side. Matilda then gave Lilly a little push for her to go inside. Lilly's heart started racing as she did not know who this lord was and was curious about him since the servant had mentioned him.
She walked in the room while placing her hand at the front and joined them. She then looked around the room, it had chairs on either side of it and each chair had a coffee table on the right hand side. As she looked further into the room, she spotted a big throne which had someone sitting on it. She kept walking forward and stopped in front of the throne but kept a little distance.
"Good morning my little birdie." Lilly's eyes widened and her heart started beating even faster than before as she recognised the voice. "You know if you don't calm down that loud heart of yours I might make it stop beating." He said with a wide grin on his face.
Ignoring what he had said, Lilly ask "Where am I ? What is this place? Why did you bring me here? And who are you?"
"Wow. You sure are a curious little bird, aren't you?" He closed his eyes and chuckled. " As much as I hate giving answers, I'll give you your answers." He paused for a bit and sighed. "Where are you? Your in my kingdom...What is this place? it is my castle....Why did I bring you here? because you belong to me and who am I ? ..... I am Davin Vindwell."
Lilly's heart almost stopped at that. Did she hear him right ? She thought to herself. "Did you just say.... Vindwell?... As in thee Davin Vindwell?"
"But of course. I am thee Davin Vindwell. The one and only." He gave her an evil smile as he saw the fear in her eyes. He enjoyed seeing others in fear of him. He wondered what she heard about him for her to be this scared of him.
"I...I want to go back home please." Lilly pleaded with Davin who had no intentions of letting her go.
"Look birdie, you run away from home. You enter a thick dangerous forest by yourself. Then you bumped into me and were rude to me and to top it all up, you tried to attack me with your pathetic little knife. So now you belong to me."
"But I was just trying to defend myself." Lilly tried to defend herself.
"It doesn't matter. Because in summary all I can say is..... Welcome To Your New Home my little birdie."
