Right before Jia Li returned, Fu Hua called Butler Lu through the intercom.

"Is my grandfather still awake?"

"Old Master just finished a conference meeting now, would you like to have a word with him?" Butler Lu probed.

"Yes, I will be there in 2 minutes." Fu Hua replied before ending the call. He got off the bed and picked up the gold pendant before walking towards the door in a hurry, only to see Jia Li stepping into the bedroom.

Jia Li looked surprised to see him at the door, so she asked, "Where are you going to?"

Fu Hua faked a smile and quickly hid the gold pendant behind him. "I will be back in a minute, I have to confirm a meeting guest list with grandfather."

Since the matted sounded important and was related to the old man, Jia Li moved out of the way so he could pass, while saying to him, "Don't forget to come back quickly, I got your drink for you."
