My hands worked on their own, checking his pulse and trying to wake him up. I looked at his gaunt face that seemed to be fast asleep. I couldn't believe that he had fainted for a person who seemed to be holding onto the leash of life very well.

None of my whispers through the bond or in his ears woke him up

"If this was going to happen to you, why did you give me any of your powers at all?" I cried through gritted teeth. "Now, what am I supposed to do? I don't have anything to help you with."

I looked around us to see a way out from where I stood. But I barely knew the place so there was no way I could figure the way out by myself without getting lost.

I decided to depend on my GPS. But the phone had a mind to die right when I had to get important work done.
