"Kekeke," a robed man covered in clothes said. "We don't get a lot of bishops in these parts."
The man stood inside the back of the carriage he used to store goods and trade. He didn't show his face or any of his features that could be used to identify him. Kai's not-so-insignificant gaming knowledge had already led him to this guy, knowing this was who he was looking for.
Even though Alexandra was reluctant to part with her earrings and a new necklace she wore after Kai ate the other one, but she wanted food more than her jewellery, so she agreed. And Kai figured her jewellery was likely to be high-quality and it would attract unwanted attention otherwise, since they couldn't say anything about their nor the jewellery's origins.
"Right, see, I'm just sightseeing," Kai inadvertently replied and added after a brief pause, "I would also like to get some clothes. I'm undercover."
The man became apprehensive and asked in caution, "What do you mean, good Sir?"
