章 193: Choosing A Spouse

Last night, after Briceus had left from sharing a private talk with Elizabeth regarding the news that Bessie had fed him with, news about her family disowning her for the most trivial reason, he'd returned to his bedroom in a sullen kind of mood. The first thing he did was to allow his mind to replay all that Borlach, the grand Duke had said to him about his origin.. Which was a sad burden to bear that he was created for something apocalyptic.

He of course didn't want to believe that but he could not deny the signs that came to play every time his fury overtook him. For this singular reason, he'd done his bid to get Elizabeth as far away from him as was possible but how could he let her be? More so now, with all he knew she was passing through?
