Katherine's eyes widened in shock, seeing him gobbling down the whole cake like a starved animal but felt extremely happy inside to know that he had liked it a lot.

"Oh, Kathy! You really have magic in your hands. I have never ate such a yummy cake in my whole life. You should open your own bakery shop, you know!" Ethan said, gobbling a spoonful of cake down.

Katherine just smiled at him and said, "I'm very much happy that you loved it. And about opening a bakery shop… truthfully, I don't want it..

I just bake because of my passion and love for it. So I don't want it to be a way for me to make money. You know what I'm trying to say, right?"

I'll also invite Oly then. It'll be really good to spend a good evening with our best friends. What do you think about it?" Katherine suggested with a smile on her face.

Ethan had almost chocked on his food when he had heard her suggestion of calling both their best friend together over their home for dinner...

"Are you fine now?" She asked with a worried expression.

"Yeah.. I'm fine. Don't worry." Ethan said, nodding his head positively and putting an end to her worries.

Biting her lips, Katherine said in her utmost guilty tone, "I.. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have talked with you when you were eating."

Ethan's head snapped towards her in a millisecond when he heard her blaming herself for such a petty reason.

Without caring about anything, he just put the remaining cake on the center table and cupped her cheeks between his palms.

"Why are you saying sorry, Kathy? It was not your fault you know! Actually the topic was so sudden that it made me react like that. Moreover, I was totally unprepared for it as I haven't thought of something like this at all.
