章 33: First successful venture as a wife...

On the other side, Ethan who had reached near the dinning table which was attached to the open kitchen, felt his breath getting hitched at the mesmerizing view that he was witnessing right now..

Katherine was wearing a pair of cotton shorts and t-shirt. Her hair was still wet because of the shower and now was falling on her back like a black forest..

Though her face was devoid of any make-up, still it had a magnetic glow which could make any person to swoon over her beauty..

Feeling his intense gaze, Katherine tilted her head up to look at him and gave him a small smile while flipping the pancake in the other pan.

"Hey.. Seems like you've already freshened up. Breakfast will be ready in another two minutes." Katherine said, bringing her attention back to cooking.

Ethan looked over at her and asked, "Do you want me to help you in anything?"

"Nah.. That's not needed as I've already made everything. You just sit there and let me bring our breakfast.." Katherine replied, plating the last piece of pancake.

She took the omlette, pancakes and coffee to the dining table and served him while Ethan just kept staring at her with an unrecognisable emotion.

"Thanks for the breakfast." Ethan softly said, making Katherine smile.

"Hey.. You don't need to be formal with me by saying thanks and all this.. Remember, we both are friends now." Katherine said, arching her perfectly shaped eyebrows playfully at him.

Ethan just grinned stupidly and dug into the food. As he was taking his first bite, Katherine's heart was somehow beating in nervousness.

She didn't know if he would like her cooking or not which made her nervous like hell. She just hoped that her husband would like the breakfast as she had made it with all her passion and love..

As soon as the taste of the soft pancakes reached his mouth, he felt his taste buds getting hit by the tasty flavour of the pancake..

Although he had dined in many big restaurants before, but it was the first time for him having so simple in home yet he was loving it to the fullest..

Ethan turned his head sideways to find Katherine staring at him with expectation, trying to know if he had really liked the food or not.

Smiling at her expectant expression, Ethan complimented, "The pancakes are amazing, Kathy. Now I can't wait to taste more of your cooking."

The moment, this words of praise escaped from his mouth, Katherine's lips lifted up into a beautiful smile which was the perfect process to show her happiness for her first successful venture as a wife..

"Thank you, Ethan.." Katherine softly said as she too started having her breakfast.

Ethan just shook his head with a crazy smile adorning on his lips and continued to have the tasty omlette..

"So… From when are you going to start your office again?" Ethan asked, looking at the beautiful flowers.

Right now, both of them were enjoying their time with each other, roaming around the garden with their fingers intertwined.

The soft breeze was caressing their skin smoothly while the fresh scent of the beautiful flowers were helping the pleasant atmosphere to become more romantic..

Without stopping their walking session, Katherine replied, "From next week.. I still have a few days of leave in my pocket. What about you?"

"Hmm.. I too will start from next week. But, I still have to visit office tomorrow to settle few things before joining officially." Ethan informed, sitting on a bench and pulling Katherine along with him so that she could also sit beside him.

Getting to know about him going to office the very next day, Katherine's mood got a little down as she wanted to spend as much quality time as possible with her husband before them starting their usual boring routine all over again…

Noticing the visible sadness on her face which she tried to hide her best by a smile but failed miserably, Ethan chuckled a little.

Wrapping his arm around her shoulder, he pulled her more to him and held her more tightly..

Katherine too didn't show any tantrums and rested her head on his shoulder before snuggling more into him.

Caressing her hair, Ethan spoke, "Don't worry. It won't take much time. In fact, I'll be back in few hours or so. Is this piece of information enough to make my wife happy now?"
