"Condition! What kind of condition, Pa?" The question automatically rolled out of Katherine's mouth as she gazed at her grandfather with all kind of confusions in her eyes..
Wayne nodded his head and replied, "Yes.. Just a simple condition. That time, you were handling a new project right after your first promotion which was very much important to you..
That's why, I didn't want to trouble you with the idea of marriage as I knew how much of passion you have for your career. Moreover you were also just twenty three years old at that time, not enough mature to handle the intensity of such a big responsibility.
So I asked for two years of time from Joseph before bringing this matter under the light. He easily agreed with me as he too wanted Ethan to have enough time to achieve his dream first. But what I didn't know was, him hiding the truth of his disease from me..
Now look at the cruelty of the world! I who had the severe chance of dying soon, is still alive. Whereas the person who had a strong will, is now far away from all of us, maybe romancing with his wife after a lot of struggle.."
A dry chuckle escaped from his mouth which was not at all funny but rather came out like a medium of showcasing the immense pain that he was feeling really deep in his heart..
Few drop of tears cascaded down on his cheeks, saddening the others.
"Pa.. Don't say like that. You only told that Grandpa Joseph loved his wife a lot. So you should remember him with a smile, knowing the fact that he's finally happy with his wife now.
So don't shed anymore tears now. Your dear granddaughter is going to get married soon and that too with your best friend's grandson. Now now now… Let me see your biggest smile now." Katherine tried to lighten her grandfather's mood and easily succeeded in it.
Wayne happily kissed her forehead and said, "I'm very much happy that you're going in good hands."
Sophia smiled at them and said, "So now that everything is settled, we should also inform Ethan's parents about our decision then."
"Hmm… Let me call them now." Reno said, taking out his phone from his pocket.

Star Hotel…
Ethan just came out of the bathroom, rubbing his wet hair with a towel when he saw his parents sitting on the couch place in his bedroom, looking all happy and excited.
Frowning a little, Ethan walked towards them and sat on the single sofa before asking, "Why are you both looking so delighted as if you've finally got what you wanted?"
Lisa's lips lifted up into a huge grin as she said, "Yes.. Kind of like that.."
"What do you mean?" Ethan asked, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion.
Austin looked at his only son and replied, "Reno called and informed us about their decision."
As soon as Ethan heard his words, a sudden euphoria gushed over his heart. He didn't know why but a new kind of hope submerged inside him..
Although Katherine had said yes to him but he was not sure about her parents and grandfather. So he was eagerly waiting for their answer also..
"So… What did they say?" Ethan asked in a low voice, trying his best to suppress the eagerness of him.
Lisa's smile got bigger at the mention of this as she finally revealed, "It's a yes from their side too."
Ethan sighed a breath of relief as happiness rushed through every veins of him. A smile etched on his lips as his racing heart finally calmed down in satisfaction and peace..
"And we've decided your wedding to be held in next two weeks. I hope it'll be enough time for you to handle the office work over there and manage your not so needed transfer efficiently." Austin revealed another peace of information to him in a no nonsense tone.
Nodding his head, he replied, "Yes Dad.. I'm completely okay with the date. But before going back to New York, I want to meet Katherine for one last time."
As those words reached into Lisa's ears, she couldn't help but frown a little before showing her displeasure on this matter.
"What's the need to meet her again? You'll be getting married with her in a couple of weeks. Then you can take her to as many dates as possible." Lisa said, twitching her lips.
Sighing at his mother's words, Ethan just shook his head and said, "I know that our wedding is in few days which makes it more obvious to take my fiance on a dinner date... isn't it?
Don't forget Mom that other couples spend more than enough quality time with each other before getting married. They go to plenty of dates unlike us who had met only for once."
The frown on Lisa's forehead got deeper as she retorted, "That's because you both are not a normal couple like them. Not only the situation but also the purpose behind your marriage is also different from any other arrange marriage."
Hello lovelies!
Is Ethan taking Katherine for another date?
Will he be successful in managing his mother?
I hope Lisa agrees!
