It had been more than one day since Santiago had not seen Persephone's face. For the last twenty-four hours, the rain had been pouring with no intention of stopping. The weather was as gloomy as his mood. 

Frequently, he would look at the cold and empty side of his bed and wonder what she would be doing. Would she be eating Lara's ears off like she did with or the special treatment was reserved only for him?
