章 22: Chapter-21 (Knowing blood ties)
' Did she just switch me or....someone else children....' She asked to confirm what she just saw and she looks at her mother in disgust.
She was confused, angry, and shocked seeing such a turn of events.
' What is happening?? ' She froze trying to understand the situation and looks around to find Corvo but he was not there anymore.
' It can't be my family.....No ..no ....No O don't believe this bullshi*.....that bitc* ' She starts rejecting what she saw holds her head as it was itching in pain, she knees as the pain was not coming down.
Suddenly she hears something and looked in front as the women start talking to her baby in a low voice/ inaudible voice.
" Dear mama is poor and can't effort much....
I know I don't deserve to be your mama but I always want and do what is best for you "
She tried to explain to the baby, the baby was sleeping some drop of tear fall on the baby but didn't wake up.
" For your own good " She further stated exchange the kid with her own silently as in the room only Mrs. Willams and her 2nd child were sleeping.
" WAIT...STOP THIS MADNESS STOP IT!!! " Emily shouted in rage as her limit to tolerate was long crossed. She becomes desperate in a blind rage and starts crying.
" So what do you learn now," Corvo asked, he had learned from her reaction that she had misunderstood all these events due to blind by her emotions and her pre-assumptions.
" Stay away *sob *sob, " She told him as her mood was down and was crying. " Do you still didn't get it " He mocked her this time as she can realize her fault here?
" From me " She completed her sentence as he comes closer to her. " what a disappointment you are worst than your brother...did you even forget who you are? " He further asked.
As from the start, she thought that she is the child of that poor maid who works under the House of Willams but the reality is always quite an opposite thing an ignored and misunderstood answer or opportunity.
" Why was it me," She asked ignored Corvo's word and even his presence, even forget what he had told her before going into her memory as she had not taken him seriously.
She was sad, anger, upset, and getting cold from sudden loneliness. " You are so hopeless, little girl " Corvo finally said as he can't be so heartless for his sister.
He comes closer to her and embraced her calming her down as she never had face such a thing in her life, even she is not educated or knows what to do in such situations.
" This was just beginning what will you do if you see all that happens " He tries to encourage her to endure more.
" For your real family, your dead brother and dead family " He whispers in her ear like a devil giving her a cold shiver.
His hugs calm her as she feels a bit warm and safe, he continues to say more and more cringe words and lines to show he is supporting her to move on, cheer her up, and motivates her.
" Thanks for all these efforts I appreciate it....thanks to you very very much " She gets emotional, cries again as she didn't has words either to explain or to express.
" See we are human sentimental beings, we need each other in a difficult time, no one can survive alone and that's why we form an unconditional bond called friendship to support and help " He paused as she hugs him feeling strong and comfortable in his embrace as she looks at his face.
" but please don't be too relying on others as it will harm more than any good. As in the end, you are the one who had to face your dark past " He ended the talk observing her.
" Don't worry I won't leave a cute little girl like you...I had taken a strong promise and I had long closed my eyes as I only see darkness as I had adopted and embraced it like you " He laughed and she pouted with a red face in embarrassment calling her cute little girl.
He kisses her soft cheek as pre reward to further cheer her up as he is now her first crush she mobes back die to a sudden kiss with a red face.
" What was that for, " She asked with a bossy voice looking at him in anger holding her cheeks.
"....." He didn't say a word and look left a black hole was formed without wor they just look at each other like they are communicating without words.
" ok, " She understood with his wordless glare means that she had to endure more and he can't babysit her forever though he is worried but trust her his stare was a wordless and motionless connect which she felt for a second which was enough.
" Was...was that girl me? " She asked while moving in the black hole as she had now realized who and what is she or more specifically what she has to do now.
