As Regina came back home, Paul left the car and carried her inside in his arms leaving James without saying a word. He carried her into the house.
Sam stepped out of the kitchen when he heard the front door open and shut. "Welcome home Miss."
Paul kept walking like he had not heard a word Sam said. "We do not want to be disturbed for the night. Leave dinner outside my bedroom door."
He did not flinch at the command. "Of course, master. Have a good evening."
Her arms remained circled around his neck and she stared at his face as we ascended the stair. He wore the same clothes as the morning he walked out her front door, and she wondered if they still contained her scent from sitting on her bedroom floor all night. All could smell was him, masculinity mixed with a hint of mint.
