Yan Qiufeng nodded. "This man appears to be a suicide agent. He must have kept a poison pill in his mouth and took it when we were not paying attention."

His expression turned grim. "Now we have zero leads on who sent them and why they were after Miss Xie."

"I shall have people do a thorough search on him to see if he has anything bearing significance," Shao Wenbo said. "Guards, take the body away."

Two guards came and carried the dead suicide agent away. Wang Jingyuan and Yan Qiufeng sheathed their swords.

"Xiang-er, can you tell us what happened?" Xie Ming asked his daughter.

Xie Yixiang recounted the events. "Father, it is all thanks to this miss that I am standing here right now. If she had not intervened and protected me, I probably will be already dead by now."
