章 27: Chapter 27: Confession

Alaric POV

Damn woman, I think.

She really is a pain in my *ss. A beautiful, sweet, infuriating pain in my *ss. I want to turn her over my knee and rip her clothes off at the same time. I ask one simple favor and she refuses. She never does anything I say and it’s starting to grate on my nerves.

Crap, I forgot about Carl. I need to tell him to watch her.

But not before I tell her how it’s going to be from now on. She needs to understand that everything I do is for a good reason, to protect her and my pack. She thinks I’m an arrogant jerk but it’s not about pride, it’s about sacrifice.

I don’t want to have to ask her to do something she’s not comfortable with, but I have to think of my pack and the people who trust me to lead them. I have to make hard choices sometimes and she’s going to have to learn to deal with that.
