章 36: CHAPTER XXXIV

Aidan stands at the edge of the yard with his hands tucked in his jacket pockets. All the nearby houses are dark, nobody is seen around. Only the darkness and silence of the night accompany him. He decides to wait for Josh to pick him up in the yard, so they can head straight to the Creek.

Aidan only waits for a few minutes when Josh comes over in Uncle Zac's old truck. Fortunately, even though the truck is old, Uncle Zac takes good care of it. The engine sounds quite smooth and doesn’t wake the neighbors, who are currently sleeping in their beds. Before long, the two of them are already in the truck and on their way to the hospital.

"What on earth happened?" asks Aidan, who still has no idea what happened to Winter.

“Ellie called, she told me about Winter. Do you know what they were doing tonight" Without waiting for answer, Josh immediately continues speaking. "They went back to The Manor and played Ouija game."
