章 45: Oppurtunity to Jung-hwa

"Honestly, I didn't expect a good performance from you. When you first entered the stage, your eyes were darting around the crowd, and you looked down a lot. These are signs of an amateur. Of course, this changed as the drama continued, but there were hints of it until the middle of the performance when you became more natural," Do Hwan analyzed her earlier performance. Jung-hwa nodded, acknowledging the truth in his words.

Joon-won's estimation of Do Hwan rose slightly. He appreciated the calm, constructive feedback instead of the harsh criticism from earlier. Do Hwan's direct approach made it easier for Jung-hwa to address her issues, most of which stemmed from a lack of experience that more practice would smooth out.

"Now, I have a good impression of your acting. As I mentioned before, you need more practice and refinement. Initially, I thought I'd leave it at that, but since fate has brought us together again, I'll give you a better suggestion to accelerate your growth: join a drama house," Do Hwan suggested. Joon-won had anticipated this recommendation, as it was the same advice he had given Jung-hwa earlier in the week. Drama houses offer invaluable experience and skill development.

"Arios City doesn't lack drama houses; they are everywhere. With your current skills, you might not get into the well-established ones. So, I will recommend you to a moderate or lesser-known house where you can start. It's up to you to seize this opportunity and improve," he offered, extending an olive branch to Jung-hwa.

Jung-hwa was stunned by his offer. She had been contemplating joining a drama house after Joon-won's advice, and now she had a real opportunity. It felt surreal, and she needed a moment to process everything.

Clenching her hands, she asked with a mix of excitement and nervousness, "Is what you're saying true? Can you really recommend me to a drama house this summer? What's in it for you?" Her practical question surprised Joon-won, considering Jung-hwa's usual airheadedness.

Hea-Jung interjected before Do Hwan could respond, "What? You think he's going to scam you?" Her tone was assertive.

Jung-hwa stepped back, stuttering, "No, no, nothing like that. Don't misunderstand, senior."

Hea-Jung burst out laughing, clutching her stomach. "Don't be so nervous! Look at you, turning pale over a joke. Here, drink some water. Relax." She handed Jung-hwa a glass of water. Both Do Hwan and the Vice-Dean sighed in resignation, unable to control Hea-Jung's antics. Joon-won shook his head, patting Jung-hwa's back, damp with sweat.

Jung-hwa took a quick sip of water before placing the glass back. She was understandably wary of the high-class society, where there were many stories of exploitation, especially of new actors.

"Well, everything is an investment for us producers. If we find and nurture talented actors like you, it benefits us in the long run. If you become a successful actor, we get credit, and more actors will want to work with us," Do Hwan explained, shrugging. It was all business, investing in future talent.

"Most producers have agency companies to groom actors. I have one too—'Blast Agency.' If you prove your worth this summer and maybe over the next year, I'd consider signing you. This way, you'd get more roles easily. My agency has several A-list actors and promising talents," he continued.

"I named it 'Blast Agency,'" Hea-Jung proudly added, but everyone ignored her.

Joon-won understood the importance of agencies. Each of the heavenly kings had their own agencies, which he had learned about recently. Many actors strive to join an agency for a faster career start and easier role acquisition. Do Hwan's offer was a great opportunity for Jung-hwa to prove herself and get a good start in her career.

Jung-hwa was once again shocked, realizing she might sign with an agency at this early stage in her career. She never thought such an opportunity would come so soon.

Bowing slightly, she said, "Thank you for this offer. I will prove my worth over the next year and earn a place in your agency." Her voice was filled with confidence. Do Hwan nodded and then turned to Joon-won.
