章 71: The Leader

Moirai was already finding it painful to watch as he saw the Garbeasts crash into the tent and brutally murder Manuel, then watching Lenard especially keep the Garbeasts at bay, before the smoke showed Yui suddenly become alert to something back at the tent and then just disappear, appearing in the tent to see the horror and take out some Garbeasts. Moirai found it hard to believe it was the same Yui he saw battle the Garbeasts in the initial simulations.

"Yui thrives best when traumatized. Her life is basically trauma, from what I've observed. Perhaps experiences like this were needed to really bring you all to the fore, to the reality of things."

"So what do we do now?" Moirai asked. His face looked too hopeless, increasingly doubting the chances they had in this camp. The smoke showing the images was already dispelled as master Gabi released a great puff into the air, but not to show any images. It felt as though he was trying to humor himself.
