Luis and I instantly locked eyes, taken aback at each other's presence. I glanced at his fist and he put it down, hiding it behind him.

"Uhm..." I cleared my throat, raised my brows, and shrugged. "Have you been here all along?"

"No. I... just came back." He rocked his head as he took a deep breath.

"Came back? Why?"

Luis stared down at me and shrugged casually. "My people told me to give you some space, but I thought otherwise. I thought it'll be even worse if you sleep upset. So, I came here to... talk. How about you? Where are you going?"

"I... wanted to see you and... talk." A short chuckle slipped past my lips as I felt silly. "I thought it will bother you if I didn't inform you I calmed down already. So... I want to say that."

Silence dawned on us as we just stared at each other. After a minute of silence, I laughed, and he too chuckled, shaking our heads.
