Bernard was a sore loser, he didn't wanted to admit his true defeat and called out to Vheslia's power as cheat, which allowed her to win even when he should had won, he thought deep down he won even when he didn't. He was a man with a turbulent past and he valued winning over things a lot more due to his lack of self-esteem. Due to this, he acted arrogant and couldn't accept such a defeat so easily.
