Ace's eyes flew open as he stared blankly at Novella, exhaustion clouding his vision entirely. 

"Why do you look so tired?" Cleo asked, flying around the boy with a confused look on its face. "Novella is the one that is giving you the blessing." 

"It's nothing." He said dismissively, waving his hands in the air before staring at the markings all along his hand. All five fingers are now decorated and he finally got the tattoo he was never allowed to. 

Not the ideal one he wanted but … something is better than nothing. Besides, they looked kind of cool. 

On his remaining finger is the same unknown words with a tiny tree at the end of his finger. 

"What did you give me?" he asked, looking up at the woman, confusion written all over his face. 

"The gift?" Novella asked, sitting on the tree once again as she breathed a sigh of relief. "Well, I granted you the gift I always had. You can see into the future."
