章 46: Compromise

"Why not, Ace?" Lucian asked, looking at the boy. "We are going there to have a meeting, hence, a meeting room."

"The king would only meet with us in the meeting room," Ajax said as something flashed across his face. "Wait, why was he so adamant about using the meeting room?"

"I wondered about that as well," Lucian said, tapping his chin. "I just dismissed it as some kind of practice of this kingdom."

"That is suspicious in itself," Ajax said, frowning. "He even told us to make sure that only Ace goes in. He has to be planning something."

"Or ... it is a part of the practice here." Lucian tried to say but Ajax was not listening anymore.

"I knew he was fishy. He must have some people hidden in there." He mumbled to himself.

"He also has no one with him in the room. He will be alone and so will Ace." Lucian said. "There is only one entrance and exist too."

"You never know." Ajax chew at his lower lip. "Ace is not going."
