During class, her eyes were focused on her back, where her best friend was sitting. She noticed that her best friend was very nervous for some reason. Is it because of Tyrone? Or is it because Alyssum wasn't there for her. She knew that Brenda was an independent and strong woman but when it comes to her ex, all her strong personality was gone like ash. 

From what she knew, Tyrone was her best friend when they lived in their hometown and knew them very well. But she didn't know how they met. Brenda was a bit mysterious, didn't even tell what's on her mind or what she was worried about. 

And from her family, she didn't have any idea what kind of family she had. She had just met Brenda's mother and older brother. She strived to ask Brenda about her father but she didn't say anything and just smiled at her. Only, Tyrone knew about her family and her past from where she lived when they were a child.
