章 39: The Battle for the Princess

Toga's Point of View –
Life has been kind to me. A comfortable household with a prestigious name and going to a renowned school.
Everything was perfect.
The household was pretty strict but it is not to the point that it interferes with any of my decisions yet despite all of it something was missing.
School life had passed so quickly and somehow I feel something lacking despite all of it.
Then it happened, I saw a boy from our school got bruised and hurt to the point he was unrecognizable. It filled me up with delight that was untold of.
It was clearly abnormal and something that must be buried deep in my heart.
Somehow, I made it through and forgot the accident.
In exchange, all I see is a grey-colored world that has nothing to offer.
Time passed by as snow falls to the ground followed by cherry blossoms yet it was still all colorless until I saw an accident.
A trigger that I saw blood from an accident.
My quirk can shape myself into any being that I wanted as long as I have their blood.
'Thinking about it now, all I did my entire life was shape myself into what others expect of me.'
I got addicted to it.
It was exhilarating.
The grey-colored world became red as I stabbed my knife at the animals.
I wanted more and more.
Since I can transform into anyone I used my power to do what I wanted to do for a very long time.
There was no more holding back anymore.
I changed my target from animals to humans. Hurting them so slowly as their blood drips to the ground.
They may have been grey-colored but tainted in red.
The police were gaining on me so I had to say farewell to my life and nothing of worth was lost.
The fun came so fast when I was not suppressed.
If I have no money, I can just get it. If I wanted to see color, I can have it.
Everything was on my hands. I just needed to move.
I wonder why it took me so long to understand.
People tend to say what I was doing was bad.
'Was it though? Was it evil? I can't help it. My cravings are too much as if every day was a living nightmare.'
I tried to control it but all I got was a bland world with nothing to do on it.
My life continued that was until a certain day.
As I was doing my daily chores of cleaning the animals in the park something came by.
I needed to be careful since this was near U.A. school and I am only here for supplies in my hideout.
A man came by and tried to stop me. He was handsome even by my standards but looks can only go far.
I've seen beautiful things but they are much more beautiful inside.
I tried to provoke this man and we entered into the battle phase.
He was good and his reaction time was unreal. It was like I was battling a person that was gifted with good instincts even some of my attacks did not work.
Usually, even pro heroes had a hard time dodging those and he was dodging it by mere breath of a hair.
His quirk seems to be strengthening since every punch he did can produce sharp shockwaves. One hit by those I know I will be in a pinch.
It was like a dance. None of our attacks are reaching each other until he got careless. My slash reached his chest and ripped his uniform.
He was a man full of scars. His body was littered with hardships.
'Ahh~ Perfect! After I defeated him, I can do whatever I want~'
I was careful until he sacrifices his arm and punched me. It was a solid one that paralyzed my body. He did not hold back at all.
From there, I do not know why but my mouth kept asking him questions.
His answers were something I did not expect.
"Most of all, if I am protecting my world, what is wrong with protecting yours? It might be hard but I will help you to find a place where we belong."
'Those words..'
'Ah… As much as I enjoy playing and having a lot of fun. I wanted to be accepted. I wanted to be in a place where I belong.'
I never knew those words can resonate in my heart. It was nothing short of a miracle.
I lived for pleasure the moment I decided that I will leave my previous life yet somebody like him.
He is controlled by his quirk too.
My world that was covered in grey was suddenly covered in gold.
He was shining. He was the light and the only person that has a color in my world.
'I will protect my world.'
I put his hand to my left chest where the heart resides to leave a mark.
It was so blissful.
The pain was a sensation that I felt but it felt wonderful.
The pleasure was so much that I blanked out.
We talked for some time as another topic was opened.
'I do not deserve to be a princess…'
I look to the sky that was supposed to be clear as blue and white yet it has no color for me.
I looked at him and I still see the same golden color.
'What can I be in his life? What is he to me?'
A stranger. A person who wanted to help others.
'He is a person who gave me back the color of my world.'
"If I was classified as a princess…'
I knelt in total submission in front of this person.
I swore an oath to him. I did many things, bad things but none of those was about lying.
'My king'
I felt refreshed. Someone to keep me connected to this world.
'More importantly, a place where I can belong.'
After that event, we went to U.A. and he discussed something with the top brass. That something was me.
Seeing All Might in flesh was something if I encountered him in a different way I know what will happen.
He was the embodiment of power and speed.
I was shaking. I was afraid.
Not because of him or those people that want to make me go to jail.
It was because I might get separated from him.
My king kept fighting until a destined date was going to happen and he will have to fight All Might.
Three days from now will be a showdown for them and as I pick up the pieces of information it seems they are student and teacher.
As expected of my King.
It will be impossible for me to be his classmate seems they deem me as highly unstable.
'Only a little'
If I stay here, I will be a nurse.
Win-win for me.
Three days had passed. Those days I was in a different room but they did provide me good food and amenities.
"Himiko, I am going."
My master was wearing his P.E. uniform and going to fight All Might.
We are in the huge dome inside U.A. that looks like a forest.
There are a lot of heroes here.
"Toga-san" I heard a squirrel talked.
"It seems Midoriya is important to you." It talked.
"Yes." I think it was obvious. I will not go to this lion's den if not for my king.
"I will say it short then." The squirrel said to me. My eyes were serious to the point that other heroes are looking at us.
"Midoriya slowly dies when he is using his quirk that is connected to heat." I did not hear the squirrel.
No, I heard him. It was I who was frozen.
'No! My world! My King!'
"Protect Midoriya as much as you can." When I looked at the squirrel I felt somehow relieved as his face does seem to care for my king.
"Don't worry. We are working out how to solve his quirk side effects. The best have been working on it so do not worry. It was not the first time this case happened." The black leotard said.
My breathing stopped for some time as I put my hand to my heart.
'Anything I will do to protect my everything.'
I looked at him.
He was smiling against the strongest hero.
