章 179: The Boar-Boy
The group arrived at a mansion, Tanjiro noticed some kids and comforted them, trying to get some information out of them. Yami and Zenitsu looked at the house, Yami heard an awful song. It sounded like a drum song but it was all over the place and terrible.
Yami could only compare it to a crazy person beating on random drums without a pattern or reason. It was really annoying.
Suddenly!
A kid flew out of the window on the top floor and landed on the ground.
Tanjiro got up and held the kid, saying "Hey! Are you alright!?" Yami watched over as the kid was speaking his last words. He dug into his bag and poured a healing potion into the kid's mouth, healing all his wounds and allowing him to survive, but he was passed out.
Tanjiro brought the kid to the other kids and left the box with Nezuko inside saying "If you're in trouble, I'm leaving this box. It'll protect you." the kids nodded but were they gonna listen? Definitely not.
Yami walked over and held out some candies for the kids, Zenitsu said "You had candy this whole time!?" Yami didn't answer and the kids reached for the candies, Tanjiro smiled but his smile froze when Yami took his hand back and chopped both the kids unconscious.
Yami took his hand back and ate the candies as he propped out the kids against a tree and put Nezuko in front of them. He turned around to see Tanjiro and Zenitsu just staring at him with wide eyes. Yami said "What?" Zenitsu shouted "YOU JUST KNOCKED THOSE KIDS OUT?! WHAT DID THEY DO TO YOU?! I'M GONNA DIE!"
Yami blinked before saying "If they come inside, they'll just be demon food." he took out a black crystal from his backpack and threw it on the ground, Samehada popped out and jumped at Yami, barking.
Yami pet his head and said "Can you watch these kids for me?" Samehada walked in a circle and barked before sitting down. Yami smiled and Tanjiro asked "What's that?" Yami replied "It's a dog." Zenitsu shouted "WHAT KINDA DOG HAS HORNS AND SCALES!? PLUS THE MARKINGS ON THAT DOG'S SCALES AREN'T NATURAL! WHAT'S WITH HIS EARS WHY ARE THERE HOLES IN THEM!?"
Yami said "Special dog." Tanjiro replied "That's a good enough explanation for me! Let's go!" Yami nodded and Zenitsu rolled around on the ground, screaming and crying until Yami grabbed his foot and dragged him inside.
They walked inside the house and looked around before hearing a drum noise.
Zenitsu was spooked and crouched down, accidentally bumping Tanjiro into another room. The door closed and the Drum beat played over several times.
Yami opened the door but there was a different room. He was stunned, the drum beats control the house's movement? He frowned, if that's the case they might as well be in a maze. He grabbed Zenitsu and walked through the house, opening doors and leaving them open.
He wasn't sure if the doors could close by themselves, but if they couldn't then maybe the rooms won't be able to change? Yami wasn't sure and he wasn't confident but it was something. They opened a door and there was a guy standing there with a Boar head.
Yami and Zenitsu were at a loss for words, the Boar guy turned to them and snorted before charging out of the room and running away. Yami watched him go and noticed the Nichirin Swords on his waist, he didn't say anything and continued searching through the rooms.
A while later
They were walking down a corridor and Zenitsu was whimpering. Yami shook him, finally saying "Girls don't like wimps." Zenitsu shouted "And they like you!? Huh?!" Yami was silent for a few seconds before replying "Yes." Zenitsu was stunned and pointed at Yami saying "Where is the girl that likes you?! I don't believe it!"
Yami pointed to the scarf and said "It was a gift." Zenitsu turned white and said "A G-G-G-G-G-G-GIFT?! FROM A GIRL?! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" while he clawed at his cheeks and went hysterical.
Yami sighed and figured he shouldn't have said anything, as they kept walking down the corridors. A demon crawled out from under something and said "A pair of kids, eh? I'm sure you'll tast-" Yami sliced his head in half and continued walking, not really wanting to hear what the demon had to say.
They continued and came across another demon, who said immediately "I can't wait to eat your brains through your ears!" Zenitsu fainted and Yami was stunned, was this demon listening to their conversation before? He got on guard, maybe the demon can read minds. Must be.
Why would it just randomly say that?
Suddenly!
Zenitsu got up, Yami looked at him only to notice that he was still sleeping. Zenitsu leaned forwards and grabbed his hilt as he said "Thunder Style: First form- Thunder clap and flash!" before flickered behind the demon, who head just popped off his body and fell to the ground as Zenitsu clicked his sword.
Yami relaxed his guard, that was unexpected. Zenitsu was actually pretty strong, except...
Zenitsu woke up and screeched at the headless demon. Yami's eyes twitched as Zenitsu hugged his legs and said "YOU DID IT! YOU KILLED THE DEMON! THANK YOU! YOU'RE MY SAVIOR! IF YOU WERE A GIRL I WOULD MARRY YOU!" Yami looked at him and kicked him away before walking down the corridor as Zenitsu ran after him, shouting "WAIT! DON'T LEAVE ME HERE! I'LL DIE!"
The room started spinning around and Yami and Zenitsu were ejected from the house.
They landed on the ground outside and Yami flipped to his feet, Zenitsu fell right on his head and passed out. Yami looked at him but he was fine. He turned around to go back inside but the door was smashed through and the boar head guy shot out.
He sniffed and said "I sense a Demon presence!" he turned to Tanjiro's box and laughed wildly as he charged forward towards it. Yami flickered in front of the box and swung his sword out, blocking the two sword slash down from the Boar-man.
The Boar man said "Hm? Who are you!? Don't you know that's a demon in that box!?" Yami didn't say anything and sheathed his sword, before clenching his fists and narrowing his eyes. The Boar man said "The silent type, eh?! That's fine by me! If it's a fight you want, then you'll get it!"
He sheathed his swords and fighting out, Yami blocked his his arm and pushed his leg away before punching out. The Boar guy dodged and pressed his hand on the ground, spinning his legs around. Yami ducked under his leg and swept his foot out, taking the Boar guy's arm out from under him.
Yami stomped on the Boar guy's chest and sent him rolling away before chasing him. The boar guy jumped back to his feet and laughed, charging at Yami and throwing a punch. Yami tilted his head and dodged, uppercutting the boar guy in the stomach, but getting blocked by a palm.
The boar guy grabbed Yami's hand and pulled back, kneeing Yami in the stomach and sending him stumbling backwards. Yami looked at the boar guy before lunging forward and planting in hands in the ground as the boar guy kicked at where his arms were, Yami flipped his legs over and tucked his knees in before pushing off the ground with his hands and shooting his legs out.
The boar guy crossed his arms in front of him and Yami's feet stomped on them, sending the boar guy flying into the air. Yami landed on the ground and jumped up, flipping in the air and axe-kicking the boar guy in the stomach, smashing him towards the ground.
The boar guy spun in the air and landed on his feet before jumping up at Yami head first like a rocket.
Yami got hit in the stomach and the boar guy grabbed his arms, flipping around and throwing him at the ground but Yami twisted and grabbed the Boar guy's legs and spinning, smashing into the ground with the boar guy as a cushion.
Yami bounced off the guy and rolled away on the ground before jumping back to his feet. The boar guy attacked and Yami blocked before punching him in the face, the Boar guy took the punch and punched back, Yami did the same and they started slugging each other over and over, refusing to lose.
Tanjiro ran out and saw Yami and the Boar fight punching each other while Zenitsu was hugging the box with Nezuko inside of it. Tanjiro said "Stop! What are you doing?!" Yami ducked under a punch and shot his fist out, striking the Boar guy in the stomach and sending him rolling on the ground, coughing.
The boar guy rolled and landed on his hands and feet before he charged like a boar and lunged at Yami, spinning on the ground with his hands and shooting his legs out, Yami jumped over the kick and pressed on the boar guy's back, wrapping his legs around his waist and flipping him onto his head before grabbing his legs and throwing him into a tree.
The Boar guy landed on the tree and sprung back, galloping on the ground and ramming into Yami before flipping forward and axe-kicking at his head. Yami blocked with his arms and raised his knee, blocking the swing of the Boar guy's arm.
Yami extended his raised knee and kicked the Boar guy in the face, sending him spiraling into a tree. The boar guy got up and charged at Yami, who got into a stance and jumped over the lunge, twisted out of the way of the axe-kick, while grabbing the boar guy's shoulders and spinning him around before he headbutted him.
The Boar guy stumbled back and his mask fell off, revealing a delicate girly face. Zenitsu shouted "WHAT'S WITH YOUR FACE?!" the boar guy shouted "You got a problem with my face?!" Zenitsu waved his hands and shook his head.
The Boar guy pointed at Yami and shouted "I'M INOSUKE HASHIBIRA, DON'T FORGET IT!" Yami was just silent and Inosuke gave a fierce look as his finger trembled, Tanjiro slid in between them and said "How do you spell that exactly!"
Inosuke was stunned and shouted "I DON'T KNOW HOW TO READ OR WRITE! IS THAT A-" before he froze and swayed. The rest were startled and Inosuke collapsed unconscious. Zenitsu shouted "HE'S DEAD! YOU KILLED HIM! I'M GONNA DIE TOO! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Yami gave him a slap before walking over to Inosuke and checking his breathing.
He looked at Tanjiro and nodded, Zenitsu shouted "WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?!" Tanjiro explained "He said 'He's okay, just concussed and unconscious. He should be back up after a bit of rest.'" Zenitsu trembled and shouted "YOU CAN UNDERSTAND HIM!? HE DIDN'T SPEAK AT ALL!" Tanjiro slapped Zenitsu before rubbing his chin and replying "That's just what it felt like he said."
