章 440: Conflict of interest

Living among humans was easier and more fun. Aside from feeling vulnerable from time to time, Sidra felt like she belonged. 

Muntaha was something else. Interestingly, she learned a lot from the man. Every day, she watched him solve conflicts and mediate them.

It was something new. Something that her people knew about but failed to follow. Her admiration for him grew by the day. 

However, something else weighed heavily on her mind. She wished to go home and meet her parents. Wanted to at least make an appearance and find out if they had missed her. 

She was curious. No matter how much pain they caused her, her heart never gave up on them. Today, she woke up with the urge to see her brothers. 

Her parents may not notice her absence but her younger siblings would. She paced around outside his office waiting for the person inside to get out.
