章 268: Acceptance

Jibril sat in the office, holding the scroll tightly in his arms. He couldn't understand why he felt the need to go for her. He just felt that it was necessary.

She went to that place for him. He needed to reward her intentions and appreciate it. Jibril hated fighting with Samia. Given that it was their first fight, it felt awful.

Yet he had no regrets. Thinking about his life, he had no guarantee that his sister would ever put him first. She gave away a part of him to a demon. That had broken his heart.

He did a good job of burying his disappointment and hurt from her. He never planned to tell her the truth. It was triggered by Amelia's sacrifice.

The general knew first hand how painful it was for someone's efforts to go unappreciated. He didn't want to make that girl feel awful.
